Bonnie is a printing press owned by Alexander Malcolm (''aka JAMMF'') in Edinburgh, Scotland. His name is carved on the underside of a small beam on the frame. Rescued from the fire that destroyed the building (''Voyager''), Bonnie was left in the keeping of Andy Bell. Years later, Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian return to Scotland (''An Echo in the Bone'') to retrieve her (Jamie admits that the press is indeed feminine). Jamie arranges for Bonnie to be shipped to America, escorted by Richard Bell, a Loyalist printer who had been involuntarily transported back to Scotland, leaving behind his wife and daughters in Wilmington.
