Aislín McGuckin (born 1974) is a Northern-Irish actress. McGuckin was born in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland. Since 2004 Aislin McGuckin has been married to Aidan McArdle.[1] She is best known as Dr. Liz Merrick in Heartbeat, notably, she was one of the two doctors to survive with her life. She has also appeared in theatre, various minor roles in TV and movies including The Nephew and The White Countess. She plays Letitia MacKenzie, wife of Clan Chieftain Colum MacKenzie in Outlander, the Starz television series based on Diana Gabaldon's series of books.
